Pressure Cooker Maple Apple Pie Steel Cut Oats

It's Sunday, ya'll.  We're starting another week.  In preparation for the week I'm making Maple Apple Pie Steel Cut Oats in my Instant Pot.  My husband has been having a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast the past couple of weeks and he was wanting a bit of a change.  Enter my handy dandy electric pressure cooker.  I love making steel cut oats in the pressure cooker.  So quick, easy and they turn out perfectly creamy and delicious.

I hope you enjoy these.  Twist the flavorings and additions to your own liking, but this maple apple pie oozes comfort and warmth.

I've used vanilla made with apple brandy from our friends at www.vainfoods.com in this recipe.  They are located in Kansas City and now, as always, please support your local businesses.

These steel cut oats are fantastic to reheat.  Just pop them in the microwave and add a little milk if they get too thick in the fridge

1 t salt
2 t vanilla
1/4 - 1/3 c maple syrup

Directions:

1.  Add insert to pressure cooker.

3.  Stir to combine.
4.  Lock lid in place, then set to high pressure for 4 minutes (be sure and set to sealing).

6.  Release any remaining pressure.
7.  Open lid carefully, contents are hot.
8.  Stir in vanilla and maple syrup.
9.  Taste and add additional maple syrup if desired.
